The course is practically orientated and focuses on the delivery of measurable outcomes that not only reduce a business carbon footprint but just as importantly results in reduce business costs. During the course students are taught how to audit, report and advise a business in the areas of energy consumption, water use, waste management and sustainable procurement. The course is open to anyone who has an interest in this area and would like pursue this as a career option.
Students completing the course would be able to set up their own business offering their services to help other businesses become more sustainable. Those currently employed could act as mentors in any job and assist their employers in achieving more sustainable outcomes.
| For those employed in trades it would provide the knowledge required to consider alternative waste disposal methods and improved energy and water saving strategies. This program introduces the components of the environment and the dependence of a fishery on a healthy ecosystem. It outlines the concepts of sustainability, community resource and the various causes of habitat degradation. Additionally it covers the roles and responsibilities of commercial fishers when harvesting natural systems.

Household Sustainability Assessors Course
Environment Australia was a leading provider of RTO accredited Home Sustainability Assessor (HSA) training in 2009. A Government decision in late 2009 ended the delivery of the HSA ("Green Loans") program Australia-wide on 31 December 2009.
The GreenLoans program is still running. The training has ceased.
