Certificate IV Business
Sustainability Assessment

National Code 30894QLD

As you are aware the Federal Government is implementing a Carbon Tax which should be in place within a year.  This will effect all businesses, both large and small who will be faced with increased costs and quite possibly having to measure and reduce the carbon foot print of their operation.  Businesses will require the skills of a qualified and professional Business Sustainability/Carbon Management assessor.  A very successful business can be developed "Right Now", even before the price of carbon has been agreed upon, as most ethically responsible businesses are sourcing these audits to be ahead of the pack.

The course, Certificate IV Business Sustainability Assessment was commissioned on behalf of the Federal Government, due to the need for businesses to reduce their 'Carbon Footprint' and is the first accredited course of its kind in the country.  Upon successful completion of the training, students will:

  1. Have the ability to complete audits on all businesses in the critical areas of Energy, Water, Waste and Sustainable procurement.
  2. Produce detailed reports showing the amount of carbon a business creates
  3. Make recommendations to a business on how to reduce the carbon and quantify this reduction
  4. Importantly, show the business the $$ savings associated with implementing recommendations.

During the course you will learn to audit, report and advise Trade, Industry, Government and Non-Government Organisations on how to reduce their Carbon Footprint and increase their profits.

This course is designed for those:

  • Wishing to pursue self employment
  • Current assessors looking to widen their skills and credentials into the commercial industry
  • Existing employees and business owners wishing to improve their operations, reduce their environmental impact and maximise profits
